Hi, anyone know any place (prefer local, but online is fine as well...i just don't like shipping charges) where I can buy stickers?

you know, those big stickers with some stupid graphics or stupid message for instance: "i'm with stupid"

i wanna stick them on my thinkpad...as a thief deterrent

    thanks.

    Pretty much online or ebay.

You also may be able to find them at local 'prank' stores, or even dollar stores

I found good ones at stickergiant.com. Just be careful that the ones you pick are actual stickers and not buttons or magnets. I ordered half a dozen stickers but when they came one was a button....which didn't stick all that well on my notebook.

    lol, thx for info.

as for how it can be a thief deterrent, i suppose it has something to do the psychology of the human mind, rather than something physical, like a lock (i'll be getting that too).

i just want to be able to "distinguish" my super sexy (guess it won't be after the stickering) thinkpad t60 from the others.

thx for stickgiant by the way

You might want to try a local sign shop. Many sign shops will have print and cut systems.

Basically they can print any graphic onto vinyl and then have the system cut around the graphic so that you are not stuck with a stock shape or design.

Be sure to get the right kind of vinyl. Cast vinyl is probably a litle more expensive, but it handles surface curvature much better than extruded vinyl. I think cast vinyl is what they use on full vehicle wraps.
