I want to make a laptop but can't find a manufacturer that makes them globally. I live in Turkey right now. And I want to ask: Is a $1700-2000 laptop better if you assemble it or should I just get a normal laptop?

Currently, there are not many options available. You can find a dealer for Clevo barebones and build your laptop yourself, but it maybe actually be cheaper to get a fully built laptop (except for RAM/HDD)

Aikimox, do you happen to know of a dealer that has Clevo barebones in the US? I've been looking around and I can't seem to find anything.
