    if your looking towards paint jobs, you could search for jack's xps m1530. He did a great paint job on his laptop!!!

    I think the first thing you need is an idea.

    You could chuck it from a skyscraper - photograph the result and sell it as art.

    I think you don't want that as you consider using your laptop.

    Paint or engravings will be impossible to remove.
    Any sort of "sticky stuff" will protect the casing an can be removed.
