Is there such thing? I'm thinking of like some generic white vinyl that is sticky on one side so I can trace a design and cut it out, apply on notebook.

I would still recommend something like schtickers so that you could remove it w/o residue later. Just order a plain white one for a 17" notebook and cut your designs out of it.

I am unable to purchase online, but I'm sure there has to be some suitable material... it doesn't seem to far out. Maybe I'll go peruse a local arts store. :)

I haven't even checked Schtickers prices, but usually customization/accessories companies charge RAPE-OFF (not a typo) amounts for basic stuff--i.e. silicon cases for mp3 players made of like 50c of material are usually ~$20.

you will find the vinyl material at a sign place...like the places that create store signs or display signs...look in yellow pages for SIGNS.

i wouldnt spend 30 bucks on a piece of vinyl either...I am going to go pickup some carbon fiber vinyl and put it on my laptop...

    ^Nice megaman.

And I didn't even look at the prices, but $30 doesn't sound too far off. :D

$20, check the Cosmetic Resources for a list of sticker retailers.

Circa I would still feel bad about paying $20 for $0.05 worth of material, so $3 at a crafts store is what I'm aiming for. :)

LOL, you can go cheap. Get some 3M spray adhesive and a small piece of vinyl from Hobby Lobby or Han**** Fabrics.

But, I would still recommend something like schtickers so that you could remove it w/o residue later. They (and some other skin manufacturers) have a fair amount of R&D in thier adhesive.

*EDIT:LOL, love our profanity filter :D
I am sure you can find some place (ebay if no where else) you can get vinyl.*

    Adhesive residue? NO PROBLEM!

Peanut butter for 5 minutes before wiping off is *MIRACULOUS* at cleaning sticker residue. Inside tip I've learned from 7 years in the hobby industry lol.

kewl, my hobbys tend to involve soldering and/or sawdust instead of adhesives :D
