Just a few quick questions, hope that a glossy-to-matte screen protector is considered a cosmetic mod, otherwise, feel free to shunt this to the proper forum:

Keeping in mind that I'm talking about the matte screen protector, not the privacy filter, which would obviously reduce the viewing angle:

Anybody use one of these? Does it have any negative impact on image quality, viewing angle, or brightness? Basically, the question is: if I would prefer my notebook's display to be less reflective, is there any downside or trade-off of using one of these? Also, is there a worthy/superior alternative I should be considering?

I would love to know if this works, I recently played with a friend's 16:9 Glossy screen, nothing next to a 16:10, I know, but it was awesome to not have to turn away from a sunny window.

Hmm... Seems non-conclusive - not sure if I can go for it on such mixed reviews. Even one very happy customer could turn the tide in favor of my buying it, but in the limited discussion there, nobody speaks glowingly, while some are a bit negative on it...
