Hey guys, I know this sounds nitpicky, but does anyone know how to paint those red strips on the touchpad buttons, like those on the x300 and x200? I like the look of it, and Im getting my t400 next week, so I was just seeing if anyone could help

IMO if it doesn't come painted, I wouldn't fiddle around by painting it yourself. It's fraught with danger and might turn out to be a disaster.

My T61p's touchpad buttons didn't come painted, but I think it looks fine and have no issue with it.

You can use any oil based paint, and that will work.
The easiest way to do this, would be to get some painters tape, and put a piece on the upper and lower parts of the key, (leaving say a 4 mm gap for the paint to be applied.
Make sure the tape is straight and parallel. Then get a brush and some red oil paint, and you can paint over the gap and the tape. When the paint is dry, peel off the painters tape, and you have a nice straight red line across the key.

You may also want to try and get red pinstripers paint, it will have a nice glossy appearance.
