That foam stuff, or liquid as used in most CO2 cans is a petroleum based propellant. You should wash your hands, and clean that stuff off your laptop immediately. The paint will usually dissolve when in contact with some propellants.

You should never turn a compressed air can when dusting your laptop.

yeah. Using rubbing alcohol is great for plastics, as long as you use a little ans wipe it off.
Never use rubbing alcohol on a painted system like with a clear coat. The alcohol causes the clear coat to become very hazy.

I have done this before, and nothing happened. I never washed my hands or anything. Not a big issue at all. Just don't do it again I guess. No part of my laptop faded away.

When you get foreign chemicals on your hands, you should really wash it off. Especially since most compressed bottles use a petroleum based liquid, which isnt exactly the best thing to be on your hands.

It really comes down to what propellant is used. Yours could be say a Nitrogen propellant, which wouldnt destroy the paint, but petroleum ones usually do.

Well, this happened about 7 months ago. Everything looks fine, does this mean all the chemicals are off my laptop due to me using it daily and touching it?

yeah, the chemicals are long gone by now, usually they evaporate pretty quickly. Next time wash your hands though. ;)
