Just as the title asks. I was just wondering if anybody here had experience a skin off of ebay before. Is it as good as any other online (and expensive) sticker place? I am looking for a cool skin to put on the top of my e1505, but the $20 for a sticker seems a little high...I'm just hoping that I could get a good deal and quality off of ebay :p.

I would not trust a skin off ebay. Schtickers, Skinit, and others have an adhesive that is the precise strength to work perfectly. The vinyl is strong and they are reusable. Well worth the $25.

The first Suede schticker I recieved had a bad mix of adhesive holding the suede to the vinyl and it wouldn't stay. They sent out a replacement as soon as I called. Thats not going to happen on e-bay. Also, god-forbid you get one that has too strong of glue and/or a crappy backing or you will never be able to get the residue off.

If there are minor cosmetic flaws you're trying to cover, swing by Staples. They have contact paper (meant for book covers) that function fairly well as skins. I used one on an old laptop to hide drop marks.

It costs 2 bucks per roll.

Just use an exacto or art knife to cut CAREFULLY around the seams and edges of your laptop. Don't do this if you have an unsteady hand or no patience.

Well, I just want to make my laptop more personal that's all. Anyways, I have read some review over about an Ebay seller that sells some pretty cool skin, so I'm gonna take a chance and get one :p. Maybe I'll write post some pictures.
