I just purchased a new notebook:
ASUS ROG GL752VW-DH71 Gaming Laptop 6th Generation Intel Core i7 6700HQ (2.60 GHz) 16 GB Memory 1 TB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 2 GB GDDR5 17.3" Windows 10 Home 64-Bit
I am looking for some suggestions on setting up dual monitors when working/gaming at my desk.
What would you suggest? I believe the laptop has one hdmi port, one mini displayport and a usb type-c port on it.
I need to buy the two monitors and any cables / adaptors that are necessary.

I feel like I responded to this already...
best two options in my opinion are:
1) Asus sells a usb3.0 docking station that gives dual monitor support (look in "add-on items" here: http://store.asus.com/us/item/201510AM170008066/A17602) . This should be fine for business apps, but not sure how this will work for games. Dell also makes a usb 3.0 dock that supports 3 monitors (1 display port + 2 hdmi --http:// www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O0M46KO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01). Again, not sure how well this would work for games.
2) since you have a usb c port, and assuming is supports thunderbolt 3, you're in luck.. wait a few months, and we'll be seeing thunderbolt external graphics docks. Razer already announced one that you can drop in your own graphics card into, and I've seen previews of others that have integrated video from either NVidia or amd (desktop quality graphics, but smaller and hopefully less expensive than the versions that allow you to drop in your own card).
3) edit -- a third, and probably the best option -- check your usb 3.1c documentation. I know on the msi gs40, the 3.1 c port will support up to 2 4k monitors. If the asus ROG is the same, this is by far the easiest option, and far better than the usb 3.0 options. -
USB graphics cards don't do games when they won't even handle scrolling excel sheets without lag
If they did, there wouldn't be any use for those GTX's inside our computers.
