    Hello everyone:

I had accident involving my VAIO S15 laptop. I fall of my bike while going back home from school and my bag hit the ground. Even though the laptop bag protected it very well, it still managed to crack on the corner.

I don't know what to do. I've tried using superglue and maybe i'll try epoxy later but i guess it will not look good. Do you guys know any online store where i can buy a new chassis?

    Thanks in advance.

Where abouts are you? I'm in the UK and could possibly repair this sort of damage. The crack could be plastic filled or fibreglassed and the repair sanded flat, the complete panel could then be painted with a good quality cellulose spraypaint.

It would need treating like a newborn baby for a few months until the paint goes completely dry, but it would be a damn site cheaper than a new chassis!

Ebay is usually a good bet, or half.com. Im surprised it didn't bust your hard drive. Mine fell a short distance once and the hard drive was toast. Glad to know the Vaio stands up to falls a bit better though, since I've made the switch from HP to Vaio recently.
