    Removed sticker, two tones of white :(

    I removed the big sticker that was on the back of my ibook. I got rid of the residue but now there's another problem. The part that had the sticker is a lot whiter than the rest of the notebook. I don't think I can do anything about it but with NBR, there's always a chance of someone popping up with a creative solution. So, pop away :)

    Oh yeah, and please don't suggest another sticker :p

    I suppose the 'Get a custom paint job' is out ;)

    Probably not much you can do, you are looking at 'at least a year' of fading and wear.

    a snap on cover like the dells if available
    well im sure the tone would eventually come around to matching its surroundings
    but youll have to wait i guess
    as the saying goes

    Car Scratch remover
    or
    Brasso brass polish
    either one will remove a layer of the plastic to possibly make it look whiter
    (use in MODERATION)

    This sounds like the right idea. Really, you are going to need to clean all the dirt our of your palm rest to get the rest of it as white as where the sticker was. Good luck!
