So I was hesitating where to post this, but I thought this is where I want to hear people's ideas and opinions.

This is going to be rather weird - On every laptop I use (M17X, G73 and now G74) I have this thing - I have to get at least 10 nukes in MW2 on every single laptop I have. I'm on 8 on this ASUS G74 one now, got them in the last 5 days or so. And I want to... Make marks on my laptop so that it says how many nukes I got (yeah, I know, symbolical and all that). You know, like the stars on planes during WW2, when the number of stars represented the amount of enemies you shot down.

That is pretty much what I want to do. I'd love to hear your suggestions.

This is pretty weird, and don't bother commenting on me being keen/addicted etc ;)

Do you plan on reselling the laptops later on? Physical damage like that will decrease the value of the laptop and will take away from the "attractiveness" of the laptop.

No. If not for resale value, just for the fact that perks are stupid.

I would do it only to a mag alloy laptop, then again I still can't imagine a game being made that I was that serious about.

The thing is if the paint flakes it will just look bad.

For this to actually be cool you'd have to be running a heavily modified rig that is way beyond the released spec and performance and pretty much trashed cosmetically anyway. Just my opinion.
A new Asus is pretty much the extreme opposite of that.

make a background desktop wallpaper with marks instead, that way it's reversible if desired.

oh, and, you need help. :)

    Hahah, this topic is awesome.

If OP wants to notch is notebook, go for it. If you want to go real fancy, try a $15 engraver from Radio Shack.

Don't do it. You will want to sell it one day and nobody will want it. It's a cool and unique idea though. I love mw2. But I stopped going for nukes when I got my nuke symbol..

jimbob83 an cenix are on the right track I think - either stickers (gold stars perhaps) or a custom desktop wallpaper.

Great Idea, but just thinking of putting anything on a laptop just makes me cringe. ( unless its a protector ). Make a wallpaper if you have graphic skills or ask someone. 1) makes it clean 2) you can see the marks.

As far as this thread goes, as Gordon Ramsey says
