My Compal HGL30's left palm rest gets warm after lots of torrent downloading/formatting/installing windows etc. My palm usually sweats enough to leave behind some dampness. My laptop is new, and I am worried that over time this constant exposure to sweat on plastic will cause damage. Am I worrying over nothing? What can I do (besides lowering the temperature of the component) to shield the palm rest's plastic from this?
