What would be a good resolution?
    1600x1000?
    2400x1500?

    Higher the better for print...

T61 is what, about 9"X13", right?
I would say at least 2400X??? but If you have files big enough then 3120 X 2160 should give you a nice 240 dpi print. Go even bigger if you have the raw files to do so.

The trouble is that the original that I have is 1280x800. I used Photoshop CS3 to enlarge it. It looks pretty good because Photoshop re-renders the text, and the background is one where a loss of sharpness is not noticeable, but I'm afraid if I go bigger it will start to look sh*tty.

How does it look at 2560? Clean enough to make you happy when you view it on your monitor? If so then try that one. If not the call the skin company for advice on whether then can get a decent print from that low a rez.

A little pick-nitty sort of thing - maybe you should have "Alex's Lappy" instead of "Alexs Lappy" ;)

The apostrophe looks weird in the Floydian font, it sort of becomes connected to the x. Heres what I mean:

Use one from different font or draw one in yourself :)

easy fix, im assuming your using photoshop?

you can maniupulate the font spacing and see if that works for you. if not 2 other ways to fix it.

1.) dont make the whole word as one font entry. Make it 3, then just space them out how you want.

    > F: ALEX
    > F2: '
    > F3: S

or option 2 rastrisize (how ever you spell it) the font and just manipulate it as an image instead and then you can simply use selections and drag it to where you want.

as a last resort you can send the file to me and I can do it for you.

Are you sure you want it labelled "Alex's Lappy" in a year or two? I would just go with your name.
