    I can't afford to buy an acer ferrari nor a falcon NW or voodoo so I decided to get some stickers (thanks to ferrari of houston) and stick em on. Here are some pics. I covered my dell badge with a ferrari badge and then instead of removing and putting in some sort of colored palmrest I just added to ferrari shields.

    Cost=$0
    Time: 1-2 minutes or so if that.

    What do you think? Hopefully I can get that falcon in a couple years :)

    Sorry about the image quality my camera is only 4mp

    Very nice and clean install mod. What was the bench like after you added the stickers.
    I want some Ferrari stickers now.

    By bench you mean benchmark? Much faster! Well at least in an athestic/mental sense lol!

    Thank you. You can find them online to buy or you can stop by your local dealer (if you have one) or if you know anyone nearby one ask them to. I got these from a friend in houston who owns ferrari's and uses the houston dealer. They are official and have to be ordered (the ones I used)

    no offence but you've made a **** good mess of your notebook. Those stickers look horrible and un-proffesional. I have an 8100...it looks very good as it is, I don't see the need for those stickers. I don't see the need for this section in the forum either. Worst of all Otaku, you've covered up the beautiful, shiny dell logo. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?????

    Whatever floats your boat. If you like Ferrari its a great mod. ^^

    Maybe I'll get me a mustang stallion. The actual chrome grill logo off ebay and glue it to my lid. <<;

    What ya think?

    I do like ferrari. I think it'd be very cool. If I had the time and money I'd like to do a jaguar model. Complete with wood inserts, jaguar green paint and a chrome jaguar in 3d for a logo in the center of the lid.

    I've been touching computers for the last 13 years and do quite well with them, I'm not the only one who puts stickers on them either. (check out hackerstickers.com I have the japanese one for one of my other lappies) and know other owners who do this. And its my machine and I'll do what I want with it!

    Hey... It doesn't really matter what others thing... its about the owner of the laptop.... If it makes him feel better about his laptop then putting on then stickers were all worth it.

    Now what would look cool is if you got some glow in the dark paint, and painted the stickers to make them glow. ;)

    Well you can go tactfully (I start out that way and just keep adding) I had an apple that I started with one nice japanese kanji sticker on the left side but ended up covering the whole lid practically and have seen others do this as well. What I really want is a sweet paintjob on my next lappie

    Theres nothing wrong with stickers. As long as its not a 'Hilary 08 sticker'. I don't think there thrown all over. The ferrari logo's seem stratigically place.

    You wouldn't find any political logo's on my machines except maybe a libertarian one or two. Yeah I put them in certain spots. The shields are placed where they are to resemble the shields on the side of ferrari's. The sticker on the lid is like the emblem on the hood of a ferrari. These btw are official ferrari stickers from a dealer. My only other choice for a ferrari laptop was spending 2k on acer's or on a custom painted model from a boutique non of which are options.

    And what do you mean condoned? Can you say tyranny? I am the owner it is my property and I am the user thus I decide. that is what is scary about all this hardware security they are coming out with (trusted computing) it will limit user powers (see against tcpa site)

    That's unique :) I have a strong dislike for Ferraris though. Better than Lamborghinis ;)
    My ideal laptop based on cars would be Gateway/Cadillac. I can't help but smile at the idea :D
    I'm not one to put stickers on a notebook though.

    hahahaaha i am compelled to post! i have an inspiron 8200 and the only think i dislike is the fact that its made out of plastic and it feels cheap until my friends play with it. in fact the standard screen turns out to be better than the widescreen type. anyway otaku your idea is cool, so why should other people say anything worse, inspirons dont have stickers and it feels kind of naked, hehehe good on u otaku for being creative, one way or the other :)

    Thanks. Yeah the whole plastic thing kinda sucks for sure, especially now that these days most notebooks are made of aluminium and carbon fiber etc. hell they even use fewer screws and of course most of them don't require removing the mobo to get to your fans either (recently had to do this) overall good machine though

    To think stickers could bunch the panties of so many forum members. This was obviously done as a sort of semi-comedic jest and because the thread starter liked the Ferrari stickers. No harm in that, it's not like the person is saying you HAVE to like it. Take it easy guys, everyone likes to have fun.

    Personally I would have chosen some curvy/tribal stickers and outlined my notebook. It's cheaper than painting and can actually work jsut as well if you take care of your notebook.

    Well at least someone gets it (I liked the stickers! lol) anyway I agree tribal art would be very cool. Sort of like the stuff voodoo does with their laptops- I'd love to buy one of theirs or if I can pull it off myself do it one the cheap to something I buy from someone else

    Gotta love controversy hehe

    Personally I don't like the stickers. Not because they're stickers, I just don't like the design of them.

    Of course, I'm the type of person who'd put glittery flowers and unicorns stickers on a laptop. So who am I to speak? xD

    seriously Otaku. Do you really think those stickers would add value to the laptop. You'll probably never get those stickers off without leaving horrible glue residues allover the lid and palmrests, making the laptop look old and tacky. If I stuck those stickers on my Brother's Inspiron 8200 then he would kill me. he would shout at me for a day.
