How to make "Longhorn" more acceptable at Texas A&M

All you need is a marker and some tape. And don't forget a "Longhorn" sticker to mod.

 

Vista is also known as Longhorn. Texas A&M students ("Aggies") hate Longhorn. This mod changes the Longhorn sticker into a "no Longhorn" sticker, which is obviously very acceptable to the Aggies.

Microsoft makes an inefficient operating system filled with DRM spyware. I'm certainly not paying $400 for an inefficient operating system with spyware! I use Gentoo, which is free, much more efficient, and has no spyware.

Now if they take out the DRM, it might actually be a good operating system. But I'll just stick to Gentoo and Windows XP inside VirtualBox. And I haven't even used that VirtualBox for a while. I have more or less phased out Microsoft from my entire network and the Windows XP in VirtualBox is the only one remaining. And once ReactOS or an equivalent becomes good enough, I'll replace that XP with it.

 

Microsoft is the root of all evil! They can't even make software that is compatible within their own brand line. Not to mention the fact that they try to force everyone to use their products!

 

But Texas > Texas A&M

Funny how Aggies go through such trouble to hate on Longhorns. Longhorns don't care enough to do things like that.

Obviously, the Longhorns will *not* (or should not) be doing this mod! Actually, I'm sure many Longhorns hate Vista as well since it associates Longhorn with bad.

I'm glad I went with Gentoo, though.

BTW, although I don't know what Longhorns look like, many Aggies are very pretty. I'm just one of those pretty Aggies. When was the last time you saw a pretty Gentoo user?

Just in case you were all confused, "Longhorn" is/was the internal codename for Windows Vista while it was being developed. Just like how Windows XP was known as "Whistler", Windows 95 as "Chicago", etc.

 

It was Longhorn but the Vista we all know now is not Longhorn. Longhorn has been pushed completely in the server OS Direction. Vista is a bastardized version of XP. If you go those those launch parties MS has it shows roadmaps and they call the successor to Server2003 Longhorn. Longhorn will also be the base for the next Professional OS (Successor to Windows XP/2000 Pro.)

And in the University of Texas school system you can buy microsoft products incredibly cheap... such as the fact that i purchased vista ultimate for $30. They made a special deal with the UT system and now all currently enrolled students can buy it and they are selling other software very very cheap.

Yeah, but the bad thing is that most of them know about them. If it was just a Texas thing then we'd be getting weird looks and questions from "outsiders" all the time, but not so...I went to school my freshman year in Florida, and endured everything imagined having to do with Texas, even though I never repped a single Texas school while there, wore a cowboy hat or boots, or drove a giant four wheel drive...

Although, I should have gone to A&M in the first place...would've saved a lot of time and money, and then I could legitimately boast on here about how our Aggies are better in many respects over anyone from TU, lol...and especially over Texas Tech Red Raiders any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

 

You know, another option for the "longhorn decal" would be to paint it maroon, or to draw an upside down longhorn emblem on it, or a "saw 'em off" longhorn emblem...or better yet star882, we all send our decals down to you and let you create a mini bonfire out of them...

...and only the prettiest Texas girls go to A&M, that's why I have to make my couple trips a semester down to CS to visit my pals, lol.
