    Hey again,

Told my friend about what I was planning to paint my laptop.

He is also equally interested in painting his laptop however he cannot find any screws or fixings that hold it together.

I was wondering if any of you guys know how to open.

The model is a HP Pavilion DV9000

If you go to the HP subforum, there is an important information sticky,

    Where is that exactly?

I have a dv9000 and I want to put in a core 2 duo 2.0ghz. It has a 1.6ghz one. I got most of the stuff off and I stopped after I took off the keyboard, top cover, speakers and LCD. There are just too many things and too many screws in the laptop so I backed out and put it back together.

if its anything like my DV9000, you will want to use a sledgehammer. HP customer service sucks! sorry for my little rant. I am in the mobo replacement program and they cancelled my request for service. best thing to do is either find the service manual for it, or do like I did when I had to replace my power point, and just start pulling it apart and mark where each screw etc goes. its pretty straigh forward...
