I want to paint my e1705 after seeing stuff79's paintjob. I have never done something like this though so I would like to practice on another laptop. How could I get one for free or very little?

Or what else would be good to practice on?

you can get a crappy laptop for basically nothing on ebay, however there is no need. Just use a sheet of plastic or somethin and practice using the primer, spraying , sanding, etc...

I'd try to practice on something that isn't flat, since your laptop has curves and bends and all that.

Start with something dispensable or even a piece of metal which has similar shapes.

Just go for it. If you mess up you can sand it off and go at it again.

lol, painting your bike is going to take more skill than painting your laptop. Your bike doesn't have any flat surfaces, while your laptop is entirely made of flat surfaces.

Well, you'll need paint, which is primer, base coat(color) and a clear coat. And you'll need sand paper. Probably some making tape, a clean environment to paint in, alot of patience and time.

Ah yes, masking tape, sorry about that. Biggest thing about painting is make sure you don't try to skip steps, and try to put the coats on evenly.
