Hi everyone,
I would like to reduce the tempeture of my CPU and GPU. The current tempeture of the GPU is 60C and CPU 50C. I have thermal paste between the heat sink and the chips, but it is not enough. I would like to know if someone has tried the thermal copper pads from ebay or another effective method.

Do you know if the thermal copper pads can really reduce 20% of the tempeture in GPU and CPU?
Thank you for the help

It looks cool. I would like to have one too. But is there a risk?

I'm really skeptical here. 20% or 10c off the CPU sounds a bit much. Might get a few degrees but I wouldn't rip open a notebook for it. Unless your out of warranty; then go for it.

I have reduced temp. on my dv6000's GPU using copper coin and thermal grease. As a result it dropped about 30 C degree !!! It was 80-90 C now it doesn't exceed 60 C at top stress.

Hi guys, thanks for all your answers. The current tempeture of my GPU is 59 degrees, so I think that copper pad is not going to change too much that, so I will continue only with the thermal paste.
I think that the fan and heat sink system in this computer is very poor, I was expecting something more professional from HP. My previous computer was a dell and they make much better heat dissipation system I believe.
