So I have a quick question.
I have this laptop:

I want to get the top engraved, but it came with a default pattern already. Will I be able to get this engraved even though it has a pattern and is extremely glossy? I would think the engraving would mess everything up.
Thanks in advance.

y would you want to ruin a clean finish like that?

you can get anything engraved, even metal.
The engraving machine is basically a laser cutter set on a very low power. The laser only burn through a very fine amount of material, making a design.
You would need to go to a professional laser etching place to do it right the first time.
If you live by an architecture firm/architecture college, they will have laser cutters, which you may be able to talk your way into using for a few hours.
You would just need to have a few extra lids, because it takes a long time to get the laser settings perfect.
