I really like a lot of the graphic art choices available with Gelaskins, and was wondering how people's experiences have been with these kind of vinyl sticker type skins have been. Are they easy to apply (and remove when necessary)? In my experience with stickers, there's always the fight against a bubble-free application.

Cleanliness is the key. Any dust particles, etc will cause spots which are quite easily visible. Apart from that - I think they're great. Easy to apply, easy to peel off.

Yeah, if you get one, you could apply it in a steamed up bathroom to help with the dust and lint. Also, I've used the edge of a credit card to press down as I slowly applied it. I've only removed it once, and it came off clean. The Gelaskin was able to fit underneath the Contour Showcase for the iPod, so the skin doesn't add fatness.

Mine went onto a MacBook smoothly and without a hitch. I haven't taken it off yet. It's durable enough to withstand 10 months now without a tear or peel.

I have a skin, here are my comments. It comes off without leaving any residue and can be reapplied. However it might vary from skin to skin, the one I have is made of a very strong paper , it doesnt tear or stretch when removed.

I moved my GelaSkin from one machine to another and it was painless, damage and residue free. This is THICK high quality vinyl.

It's not called gelaskin, but I think it's something similar. Vinyl wrap called Gmask here locally, used it to make my m15x black
Gelaskins - Anyone used them or comparable products?
