Hi, so as it says in the title I am gonna be downgrading my MSI Laptop from windows 8 to windows 7 because I'm really not into the way windows 8 functions, especially without a touchscreen.

I was wondering where I would find all the drivers for it? Now it did come with a disk that has all the drivers on it but I don't know if the disk is compatible with windows 7.

So just in case the disk doesn't work I just want to know where else I could get the drivers. Thanks!

Have you tried using start8 and modernmix to make win8 feel much like win7?

I was much like you with the hatred towards the win8 layout but after using the two aforementioned programs I have no problem with win8 at all. (I actually prefer it now)

Upgrade the 8 to 8.1 and use classic shell or start 8. It will be pretty much W7 with newer drivers, better support and it works snappier.

And it will be supported by MS.

I used Classic Shell, no issues and I really was able to tweak it down with the custom .xml file.

I hopped in because I saw the title "downgrading my MSI GT" and I am actually looking to do the same.

I have a big bulky gaming laptop that never comes out of the bag and would prefer to replace it with a thin/light tablet w/ keyboard like the Surface 3 so I thought that is what this thread was, but none the less I had information to key in with :)
