I've noticed that the glossy lid of the Dell Vostro a860 can be scratched easily. I've wiped it with a regular cotton cloth, and I got some very minor scratches on the lid. Is there any way to prevent scratches while wiping the laptop? Is there any specific type of cloth I should use?

    Thanks in advance! :D

Btw, I'm new to this forum :)

    thats too abrasive.
use micro fibre, like the ones used to clean reading glasses.
there should be some kits on online that you can buy that's specific for cleaning lcd screens.

btw, you can use a neoprene sleeve to protect your notebook from scratches.

If you feel really brave you can use an auto polish. Finding one with a light cut or even a plastic polish can get you the results you want. I don't recommend it unless you know what you are doing, as using anything too abrasive or improperly applied will give you a bunch more scratches. Just wanted to let you know that there always IS a way when there's a will :D
