does anyone know if there is a way to customize laptop look without voiding the warranty? I have a Dell E1705 as per my sig and I hate the white bumpers. I'd like to add a custom image to it or do something to it to distinguish from the rest, but I have a 3 year warranty that I don't want to void.

    Any ideas?

Vinyl perhaps or is that dead? Any places still do it? Or is there something else?

I'm not sure..check with Dell. You would be surprised, I was told by Acer that I could spraypaint my notebook without voiding the warranty - as long as you don't damage the notebook as a result of whatever you do.

    I called Dell today.

they said that I can do whatever I want (ie spraypaint) as long as I don't disassemble the laptop and there is no paint/liquid damage. Such damage would not be covered by the warranty.
