Hello there. Going to be getting one of these netbooks, but i'm not too keen on the glossy finish around the screen and around the touch-pad. I've looked around for skins, vinyl and decals but nobody seems to do them for around the screen, apart from 3acp.com, whose skins leave a nasty residue and their website seems to be broken anyway.

Anyway, i'd be a complete novice at this type of customisation and was just looking for some guidance. I'm sure it can be done with the right tools and a little know how.

I've seen matte sprays. Would that be all there is too it? Would i need to prime the gloss finish first and then use something else to seal the finish i put on? What steps would i need to take so i don't get the netbook?......That's the kind of info i'm after.

Anyway, thanks, any help at all would be appreciated.

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but since I want to do basically the same thing, I thought I would post here instead of a new thread.

I absolutely despise the glossy bezel around the screen on my mini - it just looks wrong, since the rest of the laptop (and the screen) are matte finish.

So has anyone been able to do this?
