Anyone cutting or printing their own lid vinyls? What're you using?

I'm in the process of thinking maybe I should pimp out some of my notebooks with decals, but I'd like to do it myself and I was looking around at what people use to be able to do it themselves.

I have laser cutters at work but they're usually in use for more important stuff than making my notebooks looks nice, so I was planning to buy something for home. Probably not those deathtrap Chinese laser cutters but something that's actually home-friendly and allows me to cut (or print?) sizeable patterns. Don't really have a budget in mind, but bearing in mind the sporadic use it's going to get clearly I'm not aiming for one of those Roland wide-carriage dye sub printer-cutters.

So - if you're diying your decals at home I'd like to hear what your setup is.
