I have just started a new respray on an Alienware 17 R1. At this stage it's not a 100% operational machine as it needs a new GPU and it's possible the motherboard has an issue but I'm hoping to fix this.
I am going for Pearl Black this time. I have no idea how it will turn out.

The pic below shows it prepped and ready for priming. I have removed all components including the motherboard and I have removed the LCD panel, Alien head and RGB strips from the lid assembly to make respraying easier.
The lid I am respraying is a different one than what is shown in the first pic as you can see from the extra scratches in the lid below. I have given the lid a dry sand with 800 grit to smooth out the scratches

I need to get cracking with this one. Had a few setbacks that have delayed progress.

A few small touch ups required along some edges but basically completed.
