Haven't owned one but know many who have. They are great cars fun to drive very beautiful and here in the states somewhat rare also. It depends on the model you get but be warned parts are rare and can be expensive also they are difficult to work on and will generally require a mechanic and not just any mechanic but an italian/alfa mechanic. Alfa of tacoma washington is great for instance. I've worked on these with friends and the electrical is probably the most complicated I've worked on. They're cheap to buy but not to own and you will have down time where they just sit being worked on etc.

I like the alfa 164 myself especially the LS (only 400 in USA) that V6 is just awesome to hear!

Best of luck. ANd make sure to check out: alfabb.com great message board for all things alfa

    Hi,

I have a '91 Spider Veloce, purchased new in September 1990. Great car, lots of fun!

As for repairs, last summer I had to have a thermostat and heat sensor replaced.

Other than that it is just the usual stuff, oil change, tires. Had to replace the clutch after the first 20,000, but that was my fault :)
