    I was wondering if anyone has been able to convert the metallic portion of the Black/Red LCD lid on the M1710 to the M170. I heard it isn't possible. The silver of the 1710s is ugly ;(.

    The silver of the Inspiron is really ugly especially with the white edges. I will live with it though.

    Basically everything between the M170 and the M1710 can be exchanged. Even the lid.
