What's the difference between the FL90 and IFL90? A fingerprint reader or something more?
-
i believe one is barebones and one is not
-
heck im thinking about buying one of the barebones just to have it in case i want something smaller.. thats a killer deal we ordered one for my mom a bit earlier

Could someone please confirm specs of this thing? I see conflicting reports saying that the WXGA screen model only has the 256MB video card, with the WSXGA model having the 512MB. The mention of DVIx1 is also confusing, since I dont see this model listed as having DVI anywhere else.
-
well on rjtech web site they have the fl90 with wxga and it has the 512Mb card..i cant comment on the dvi though i dont seeit in any of the pics on rjtech web site
http://www.rjtech.com/miva/merchant...t_Code=FL90&Category_Code=CPL&Product_Count=0 -
are the screens on these good? i'm looking for something to replace this 1520 i'm returning.
-
what about dvd writer?
-
they have thier issues as any other comp does but i know personally 3 people that own them and they have no issues. one of my employee's bought one and he got the wsxga and his is a lg and its pefect a tiny tiny bit of leakage but noting at all noticable...
ALSO THE PRICE IS GOING UP TO 750 SOON.... I HAD MY MOM ORDER ONE and they told her this is a introduction price and can end at any time.. grab on while you can -
-
-
Hmmm....should I get this or the Inspiron 1520( with the current coupon) comes out about the same price. Both has 8600m GT. But the dell has higher resolution screen....
Your thought?
Thanks. -
tough choice but asking me is the wrong person.. i have to be biased against dell.. if you are maxing it out this will be far cheaper than the dell .. depends what you will put in it..
-
both same config, the fl90 is $1190 and dell $1350 ($1098 base +200g 7200rpm +100 2gig Ram) -
is that after the 325 off right now? if so id go for the sager myself
-
yes.
oh I just saw the ifl90 with the higher resolution for $750. Same site.
Thanks -
what's the difference:
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductList.jsp?ThirdCategoryCode=100205&SortBy=B&Brand=COMPAL
FL91 is $530
FL90 is $650
FL90-S is $750 (screen?) -
never mind the fl91 has integrated graphics...
and yes the fl90-s is the higher res screen... -
huh. here's a question- what about tax?
-
only in cali...more money saved over dell that alone can be 100$ and free shipping..
-
man. killer. where can i find more info on this model? excuse my ignorance, please!
for instance, why is this thing better than a dell? it has dvi, that is one thing...
do they have any kind of warranty on these things? -
http://www.sagernotebook.com/product_customed.php?pid=687 same thing in a sager branded version exactly the same though...
and
compal's site: http://www.compal.com/index_En.htm
only thing the compal looks to lack is the fingerprint reader but big deal... -
Thanks again -
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10006736 and it was 49$... there ya go
-
Im not exactly sure what to look for as a wireless card. What kind of wireless card should I be looking for. I am planning on buying it on mWave. Anyone see one on there?
-
-
thx man.. how about bluetooth? can i get any bluetooth internal adapter?
-
im pretty sure it comes with it already.. if not get a 10$ one off ebay they are the same thing.. plugs into the usb port
-
no internal bluetooth, or does it come with the wireless card?
-
looks like it does not have the bluetooth built in. you can always buy it from a sager dealer or as i said simply use a usb bluetooth adapter my wifes uses one we got for 10$ off ebay and it works great..
-
Yea, you are probably right goin for the USB bluetooth. Thanks for the heads up buddy.
-
Where can I find an internal bluetooth module cheap for the sager 2090?
-
The price is mindboggling. But is it easy to assemble ourselves?
Also will there be any problem w.r.t integration of various components, and the overall reliability of the system. -

This is way better,
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/NBmicro/BIYConfig.html
showstopper, comes with bluetooth and fingerprint reader. configured with 2.4 core 2 duo, 2gb ram, 120 (5400rpm) hdd, and no OS. total is $1267. And they have a pdf and video of how to put it all together! I am going to pick one of these up hopefully.
-TNK
Edit, http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10006843 that is the same barebone, didnt see that earlier...still a good deal if you just configure it through them. -
Anyone know if the Showstopper version of ZZF's FL90 is the 1680x1050 Matte LCD, or the the new glossy one?
-
What about warranties? Their Terms of Sale state that all you get is a 30day return window. That is a bummer.
-
30 day return to zzf its still 1 year through sager
-
is it hard putting all the stuff in it? anyone with experience?
-
nope piece of cake.. there really is nothing to it. its very very easy imo if you have installed anything in a desktop you should have no problems. you can go to the rjtech site or compal web site and download the instructions to see
-
that pdf guide looks like hell. haha but as for installing hard drives and ram, im sure they're easy, but what about the CPU and network card installation?
-
honestly its not hard
-
Has anyone purchased the IFL90-S from ZZF? Is it a matte screen? Does it come with the CD/DVD Rom?
Thanks -
yes its a matte screen and yes it has a cd/dvd drive
-
It's definitely a matte WSXGA+ screen, and it does also include the DVD+RW drive. My drive is an NEC/Optiarc AD-7530B.
-
The PDF guide from Rjtech is useful for the photos, but I'd recommend against using it for anything else. It was written by someone with a poor grasp of English, and it also includes a lot of steps that you don't need to do (like installing the motherboard & LCD panel) which are likely to do nothing more than confuse you.
Use the shorter and much better written PDF download from ZipZoomFly (use the link posted by theneigherrkid, above). -
difference of FL90 and IFL 90 is'
FL90 has dark navy blue finish - WXGA screen - 256mb 8600gt
IFL90 has black glossy finish - WSXGA 512mb 8600GT. May be built in bluetooth. -
both of the systems from zzf are fl90's. they just happen to have them with the wsxga screen in them
total config including sager ifl90 from zipzoomfly: WOW
