Hi, Does anyone here shop (has shopped) at tigerdirect.com? Specifically, I'm wondering if they have Black Friday sales online? I'll be in the market for a Lenovo Thinkpad R61 around November, and was debating if it'll be worth it to wait till day after Thanksgiving. Greg

I have been watching alot of Lenovo sales lately, and it is my wild guess that there is not gonna be much of a selection of R61 notebooks left by the time Turkey Day rolls around.(If any at all) PS Turkey-Large gallinaceous bird with fan-shaped tail; widely domesticated for food with overtones of forceful observation of insane relatives.

Well TD has all sorts of sales throughout the year. For instance, they have a Labor Day weekend sale at the moment.

Regarding their service, most people I've talked to said their product arrived well in one piece. I walked into their store a few months back and they were generally pretty nice after I finally got hold of a representative.

TigerDirect and CompUsa are both awesome.I get most of my electronics from them.No tax, unlike BestBuy and Newegg here in NY.Plus, cheap and fast shipping. You can find some insane deals if you spot them in the right time. They do have Black Friday specials on some items, but its nothing spectacular. No guarantee that the ThinkPad of going to be much cheaper then,so you should get it now if you like the price.

Can't say for sure about Black Friday, but I have bought things from Tiger Direct and have been happy with them.

same here, Tiger Direct is pretty good with shipment estimates also. I bought a barebone deal... (it was irresistable... at the time) and got it in about a week...

well IMO i think it is an ok site... but I really prefer Newegg.

Newegg is stopping the practice of collecting tax in NY. I received an email from them, just for your info.
