Why did they shut down? Bankruptcy?
-
Yep, bankrupt. Didn't even notify their staff. They still owe a heck of a lot of money to people too. I hope the execs' hide cuz there's going to be a lot of people gunning for them.
-
sorry gophn i missed that.. yeah they owe a lot of customers merchandise as well i know people that placed orders as late as monday and their cards have been charged. now they are attempting chargebacks
-
clubit is BACK! -
yeah they were purchased at the last minute.. i hope they made good on all the stuff they owed people
-
For local I use Fry's. (and hate it)
For online orders I use Newegg. (and love it)
PC Club was OK, I suppose. But their prices were higher than average and selection was poor.
I'm surprised they lasted this long. -
Interesting! Everytime I ordered from PC Club, they had lower prices than Newegg and had very good selection. Newegg typically has good memory prices though.
-
if they were purchased then the buyer shouldve acquired all debts as well so their orders will either be canceled and money returned or they will get the stuff they ordered
-
Their shop floors were generally vacant with scattered generic brand components stacked about.
Their employees seemed ok. -
i have one right by me and they have always had great prices and good employees. Good selection if they didnt have something i wanted they ordered it right away. Because they reopen i just ordered a great custom gaming rig it was time to upgrade.
clubit / pc club out of business for good..
