    hi to all, i have hp pavilion dv8000 laptop. and it have built in infrared. but its not working. or not installed. i have cd from hp. i installed all the programes and driver. no any un-installed device not present in device manager. but infrared isnt working. other hand bluetooth is working. whts the probalm. or wht should i do??? please help me

    You have a Consumer IR port, whose only purpose is to allow you a remote control. You don't have a real IR port.
    I believe this thread belongs to HP's forum, btw.
