wow totally read this as Win8 first time around -_- Is 70 bucks a good price to upgrade from home premium to ultimate? any real benefits?

EDIT: I have an R4 with a 3720qm 22GB of ram and 7970m. I know i am loosing out on the extra ram but i am hard pressed to break 8-12GB so i am not too concern. Most i have ever used was 12GB i think.....well once was more but that was opera memory leak ^^

If anyone bought Keys from Assassin HTPC when this sale was going on be warned the keys are starting to get blocked by microsoft. I just had 2 keys blocked tonight that I purchased from them. No rhyme or reason to it, Microsoft told me that it was blocked and that was it. I'm contacting Assassin HTPC to see what the next step is since this isn't a Certified Seller of Microsoft Windows. We shall see how this turns out.

Not really. You get BitLocker with Ultimate (though TrueCrypt's free, works on all editions, and doesn't have any backdoors that BitLocker might contain), more languages (if that's valuable to you or not.. but Professional has these too), XP Mode (again, Pro has this too), and some other non-important stuff (for the Average Joe). Do you need more than Windows 7 Home Premium? | ZDNet

Only reason why I have Ultimate on my desktop is because both Ultimate and Pro are sold on-campus for $20 + tax, so I said "why not?".

Smelled pretty fishy, and I guess it is :/.
