Yes but UK prices are generally a lot higher than the US... We also have much higher taxes (VAT of 17.5%).

Already posted this a while back: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=74559
But it an awesome deal so no harm in telling people again. Has anyone got one? Everyone seems to just assume it will be crap just cos it soo cheap or cant be bothered to wit for delivery. I will be very interested to see a review.

Sorry I didn't notice your post before but hey as you said the more we shout about it the better. :)

The Computer Shopper review seems to like the lappy. I see when people recommend laptops for UK buyers, they gernerally give a link to the HP nc8430 student bundle at laptop.co.uk @ 800gbp with similar specs so this is really fantastic value.

I often recommend the nc8430 because i know its a good laptop and well made whereas the zoo is an unknown quantity at the moment in terms of build quality.
But the screen cant be that bad as the computer shopper review would have said something.
We just need someone to bite the bullet and go for it and do a good review.

Well that's because the NC8430 is of proven business class quality and the Laptops Direct bundle comes with a 3 year warranty that makes up a fair portion of the price difference.
