    It is very close to the Gateway 6860 FX for a lot less money.

    I have been down the BB laptop isles (week ago when searching for the new WD Media Player) - and I would have thought this FLAMING Monster would have jumped off the shelf ... but I don't recall seeing it. Will look again next time I'm in BB.

    In fact come to think of it I was looking for the Gateway 711FX - or whatever the latest FX was and did not see that either. I like what Gateway did with the FX - just a little Bling with the Orange - nice.

    X305-Q701 for $820 !!! :D

    Most stores only have the new version - the X305-Q705 for $1499. The X305-Q701 is a Best Buy online outlet item now for $999 but they are out of stock almost everywhere. I bought one online and the next day they said it wasn't available. I called and argued with them for over an hour before they tracked one down in Union City. When I went to Union City I bought it directly from the store for $820 plus tax & recycle fee. An X305-Q701 for $900.83 out the door!!! That's when I found out that different stores offer them at different prices. The local Best Buys didn't have them but if they did, they sold them for $912 plus tax & recycling fee - so check around.

    Yeah I just got my Qosmio for $915 after tax from Best buy. I was wondering if anyone here has already added a second drive or upgraded the processor on it.

    X305-Q701/705 owners, how close are these to the newer Q706 ane the higher Q708 in terms of upgrading? Ie; xtreme CPU, and 2nd GPU as SLI?

    The link is broken but I searched for X305 on the BB site and OMG that is quite possibly the UGLIEST laptop I have ever seen...

    I'll take the G50Vt over this one anyday.. Thanks but no thanks.

    Good deal for those interested though.

    Maybe a deal, but not an attractive laptop, I would be embarrassed to take it in public. :(

    But if its anything like the X205, its solid, and has the best sound on a laptop. :D
