    I just wanted to post this in case anybody is interested. Amazon has had these for ages, I've watched it in my wishlist a long time. Prices have stayed pretty steady between $140 - 160 or so.
    Right now they're priced at $147.99 with 6 in stock (more on the way). I know it's more expensive than you can find at like ebay or elsewhere, but it is directly from Amazon. Atleast they honor their return policy, and you still get their great customer service. Just a heads up for anyone that may be interested. It's a standard run of the mill SATA drive.

    LG goes for 100 and you cna even get external sony for 100 give or take. That seems expensive

    Well, I did say it was more expensive. ;) But you atleast get Amazon's customer service and return policy, which is better than a lot of ebay resellers. It comes down to personal choice, if you want to take the risk with a seller or not. I was just giving another option. :)

    Can't you just get an external and swap optical drives with the notebook? Or would it be too thick?
