Just to give testament... This is a great price for this drive, and its a worthy upgrade to ANY 2.5" HDD... 500GB capacity with near-SSD performance. It definetely pepped up my MacBook Pro!

This thing will cut your boot time in half, even from other 7200RPM drives, due to the SSD hybrid integration, and the 32MB buffer! Even Seagate's Momentus 7200 only has a 16MB buffer, so I upgraded, and I'm glad I did!

Thanks for that endorsement Mikey. I will be ordering a Sager once the chips are fixed and I was considering that HDD and looking for some reviews. I think that will be my choice.

Did you guys read all the negative reviews on this drive at NewEgg and Amazon? Freezing, battery life sucking, dieing -- major problems reported galore. Makes these things sound like mostly lemons. I upgraded to one of these for my Sager NP5170, that won't be shipping yet for another few weeks due to the SB recall. I am having major second thoughts. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I've had one of this for a while, haven't experienced any of those.
