I don't expect this to be top notch quality: Buy.com - SVP 7.0-inches Touch Panel WiFi Adroid 2.2 Tablet PC / Mobile Internet Device

but think it's good enough for a 10 year old to access web and basic apps? Since I couldn't get the HP Touchpad, this may be a good alternative.

7" tablet, 512MB RAM, 2GB storage, and room for SD cards. Never heard of Info TM processor though. 1GHz. Supposed to be Android 2.2.

edit: looks like Info TM is an ARM CPU. That's good at least.

Gah, but my niece's birthday is just in a few weeks. Stupid HP. Great gift idea gone south.

The one in the middle works out to be $99 after the $100 gift card but requires a 2 year T-Mobile contract. It is WiFi capable though.

Grrr. My sister already has Verizon and not gonna switch for this! lol. Plus doesn't want her to have phone access yet.

Thanks though for the suggestion. If only it were on sale in Dell outlet for $99 or something.
