This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Ridiculous deal for a Latitude E6420 on www.woot.com today.

    If you don't know Woot! - it's a deal a day site, when they're gone they're gone. They're offering a new E6420 with i5-2520M, 256 GB SSD, 900p screen, and 3 year warranty for $779.99 with $5 shipping. This is hands-down the best deal I've seen on Woot! in two years of checking the site fairly regularly. I thought I should share the love here - if I were in the States right now I'd very possibly buy three (Woot's maximum per person per deal).

    Edit: Oops, this probably should have gone in the discounts and bargains subforum, where I just noticed it's already been posted. Dang! I thought I was the first NBR'er to notice it too!
