I've bought minor stuff (blank dvds, etc) from them w/o a hitch however what about Laptops. They tend to have some of the best deals out there but seem to have a very scary (exchanges only if more than 7 pixel) policy. I was wondering what other people think of them as a good merchant for laptops keeping in mind their 7 pixel policy

well, at least they have a policy, that's all I can say. Many retail stores online will not state any policy and then not accept a return for something you might expect they would. I have used NewEgg.com as well for several minor purchases but never a major one. If I could find a really good deal there though I would feel comfortable using them. Check out www.resellerratings.com to see what others say though.

It depends on what you buy. I wouldn't buy a Fujitsu from them, when companies like www.portableone.com offer a no dead pixel promise. Their return policy for notebooks is very bad, but if money is the most important factor it might be worth the risk.
