YES!! go to the epp website and get 35% off inspiron notebooks... !!
btw.. should i get the x1400 or the geforce go 7300 video card?
-
x1400 .
-
Could you give us more info? And the X1400 is a better card.
-
yeah just customize your computer and it ends up being 35% off.. weird, a representative from dell told me that the geforce 7300 was better
-
wow. And it seems now that they are offering 1 gb ram on 1 dim!!! hopefullly they wil have a better gpu!
-
Well, according to most benchmarks, 3dmark05 and 06 the X1400 does better by a good 20-25% usually. He is just saying that it's better because it costs more
Here is a link for the deal: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellst...=eep&cs=2236&oc=A4677SP1&link_number=17970622 -
I wonder how long this deal will last for...

wearetheborg Notebook Virtuoso
Where is this discount ? I'm on the epp site and its not giving me 35% off
-
^ Did you click on the link? It's an ato 35% discount.
-
wearetheborg Notebook Virtuoso
Aaah, it was giving me a price of ~1100 for the e1505, didnt strike me that it was AFTER the 35% discount
So they think the retail price of an e1505 is like 1800...what ARE they smoking ?? -
yea it seems like a great deal.
-
its an awesome deal.. i ordered mine yesterday because i didnt want to miss out on the deal
-
It's a horrible deal. Comes out to be $200 more over normal prices. I'm glad they're gonna start doing away with coupons.
-
you think its a horrible deal?? It seems good to me. i just dunno if it will be better after the 10 day sale or early augest.
-
It's definitely a horrible deal. Do the same config through dell home and you'll come up with a price thats lower, and that's before all the dell home coupon codes you can find.
-
through the EPP , i could get 2ghz duo, 15,4 inch best screen, x1400, 2 gb ram, 100gb hard drive 7200 rpm, media center, blutooth, 9 cell battery, microsoft office, and 3 year warranty and 2 yr mcafee for around 1400.
-
yea, i remember when i was ordering my e1705, i tried the epp route, and every config was 200 above what i could get in the regular home route. i even bought a 30% epp coupon off ebay (i was considering xps at the same time, too), and that didn't beat the deal i got in home with the 750 coupon.
all their epp prices are bloated, so the discount looks like it's doing something. -
but i doubt you can get the deal as good as i noted above...
-
-
i got a great deal.. at least i seem to think so.. esp since i maxed out every single configuration and got lo-jack
-
epp is a marketing gimmick.
they force you into the MS office suite ($200??), unnecessary warranties, max you out at T2500 cpu, start you at 1GB memory, etc...
you're buy more of their vendors' parts that you don't need and then take off 35% like it made it any better. it's like trading in your old car for a new car, they make you think you're getting top dollar for your trade but they stick with you $100 under MSRP for the new car.
However, as soon as that 35% off EPP coupon comes back, I'm jumping on it like white on rice. In these cases, they don't force you into vendor add-ons and can start from the base model like in the regular home section.
/end opinion. -
When will this offer end actually? I am hoping till the mid of August this offer will still exist because the price of the proccessor will absolutely go down as soon as Merom comes out.
-
its already gone.. such bs.. it was a good deal, and then they changed it today and my e1505 went up $200 in price... i gave one of their chat people online a fit to see if they would match their old price but they didnt care..
-
oh that sucks dude.. you shouldve taken advantage while you still had the chance.. you might have to wait like a month now for such an offer
-
The offer i gone, such a shame! I don't know now when Iam going to buy my e1505
