Looks like a pretty good deal with the 100 MSI rebate card, if you can use the card to buy anything as a debit card and not through MSI only. From what I've seen the 1660ti is less than 10% perf difference from rtx 2060 mobile cards and of course no dlss/raytracing so if you want to output to higher resolution monitors this wouldn't be the way to go if you would use DLSS. Also note that the taxes come off the 869 price. Another thing to watch out for is that in the rebate pdf it says MSI items can't be returned for a refund once you get the rebate card.

Yeah it's back up to over 1000 now total ripoff with 3060 laptops coming up at that price or a couple hundred over that price. The 2060 option is the same price as the 1660ti now, but why not get a 3060 laptop over that. Best time to buy is always october through xmas, wouldn't bother otherwise. They're trying to dump old stock on suckers who don't know any better lol

The inflated prices of GPUs and, to a lesser extent, gaming laptops is a shame for those wanting to use them for gaming, not crypto mining.
If I needed a gaming laptop/GPU right now, I would be tempted to just get a GeForce Now subscription and wait for things to calm down.

Alternatively, there's Shadow Cloud Computing, which gives you your own dedicated Windows 10 PC. It's more expensive, but the only limit on what you can install is based on the amount of storage space you're paying for.

Asus has some pretty good flash deals on ebay of refurbished nitro 5's with 1650's for low end, but it was best around xmas because you got a free 2 year allstate warranty and 15% off ebay coupon up to $100. If I hadn't seen the gateway 2060 for 699 I'd have went with that.
