    Hi guys,

    For those in Singapore who've been itching to get themselves a Merom notebook, you can grab yourself the LG R1 for only S$2199 at the Singapore Comex.

    I couldn't believe the price myself so I went there to see the machine for mysef. LG is pulling out all their guns for this one.

    Even the T1 and TX models are still selling at a premium of S$2800 and S$3400.

    It's not the most beautiful LG I've ever seen but it's the cheapest Merom you're going to be able to buy right now.

    And by the way, only 3 brands are offering Merom in Singapore now. Acer and NEC are the only other two. (I believe you can only pre-order for Acer.)

    Lousy specs?

    It comes with Intel GMA 950, dual layer burner, 512 ram (This is actually better for those who intend to buy the additional ram themselves, it winds up a hell lot cheaper), 5 in 1 card reader, 14" widescreen, 80 gig SATA HDD.

    Lousy video card? You can buy the 100gig SATA HDD with GeForce Go 7400 for S$2199.

    Private message me if you're in Singapore and you want to buy it. I do not believe such an offer is going to come anytime soon again.
