    Hi.

My name is Nick and I am from Romania.
I want to buy a laptop and I have a friend that travels to USA between 22 to 28th of November. He's going to: Key Biscayne, FL
Miami-Dade County, FL (33149 Zip Code).
He wants the laptop shipped overnight if the store is too far away.
The only shop that I know there is Circuitcity, but the laptop offer isn't quite diversified there.

    So what I'm looking for:
    c2d core (1.66 or more)
    1GB+ RAM
15,4"(1440x900 or more) or 17"(1680x1050 or more)
~gaming video card (~8600m gs performance)
    ~160GB HDD
    webcam
    preferably Gigabit LAN
    wireless B,G(preferably draft-N too)
    reasonably sized battery :D

    The budget:
950$ for a 15,4" or up to 1150$ for a stuffed 17"(including overnight shipping in case the laptop store isn't close to his location)
In case the budget isn't big enough I'm considering buying a temporary cheaper laptop (no dedicated video card, smaller CPU) but it really needs to be a bargain(I want to lose very little or nothing by selling it here, keep in mind that in Romania laptops are selling slightly more expensive than in USA).

This is tight because I have to give him the money until 21st.

uh.... i think a dell1520 can fit your needs?

upgrading processor to 1.66ghz and video card to 8600GT brings it to $999.

u can customize your dell in many many ways, but as far as i know u cant get it under 1000$ with all the specs u have listed. play around

hope it helps, check it out.

You can't get a Dell overnight.

With ~$1000, you're not going to find much at retail stores. Just have your friend check out what's on clearance.

Thanks guys for your support. the 1520 goes beyond 1200$ if configured to suit my needs. Anyway I heard something about some sort of discount coupons/codes. How do you get these?

Any options for the temporary cheaper laptop? I'm considering this option too.(I believe that after the launch of 8800 the prices for 8600 series will drop considerably._
Or is someone in FL selling a good SH laptop?
