Looks like it is sold out. Nonetheless, this is (was) a great price for a great drive, thanks for posting. :)

The Western Digital Scorpio Black 500GB 7200RPM (WD5000BEKT) is a good alternative.

Wow, Newegg sold out the 7K500 fast! It was in stock when I posted the sale 8 hours ago.

Incidentally I initially purchased the Hitachi Travelstar 500GB 7200RPM H2IK5001672SP (0S02858), which I understand is a reboxed 7K500, but two days after ordering it, I read StorageReview.com's enthusiastic review of the Western Digital Scorpio Black 500GB 7200RPM WD5000BEKT, and when I realized it also has a longer 5-year warranty, opted to order it and return the Hitachi Travelstar. The decision was still difficult, as both HD's seem to have strong supporters.

I have both drives -- I haven't installed the WD5000BEKT yet though (waiting for my new laptop to arrive ).

The 7K500 has been an excellent drive, very fast and quiet. No perceptible vibration either. I was going to buy another but figured I would try the WD to see how it compares. Historically I have always bought WD over other brands.
