    OfficeMax is running a fantastic deal on the DM3 this week. $499.99 + tax - no mail in rebates!

    Picked one up myself already :)

    Office Depot has it for a ridiculous $649 but they have a $50 MIR. Does anyone think they'll PM OfficeMax on the $499 before rebate?

    Well according to Office Depot's website they will pricematch as long as it is an IDENTICAL item, meaning the Office Depot variant must be a DM3-1130us as well.

    Oh and chances are the mail-in rebate becomes void too.

    OD has the dm3-1130us as I mentioned above, though they're almost cleared out of the dm3-1030us at $499. As far as anyone's been able to tell, they are the same laptop, but the SKU difference might invalidate the price match.

    The rebate appears to be an HP issued rebate. It specifically excludes some stores including OfficeMax, hence my interest in a PM.

    The 1030US in my area is $449 after rebates at OfficeDepot.

    I'd considered getting one of the 1030US but all of the stores within reasonable driving distance have only display models left if that.
