wow, now I feel like I have been ripped off getting my 160gb drives for $90 after rebate.
Oh well, I guess I could never fill a 320gb drive anyways.

Great find Gophn, I have found that ZZF has better harddrive deals than Newegg over the last few years.

Since I was unable to take advantage of the Hitachi, I instead decided on the Seagate 320 GB @ TigerDirect that Gophn posted. Seems to be a great deal still for $90, with no tax (I live in California, so the price is not as offset compared to ZZF which does charge 7.25% tax and shipping)

I would personally choose the Seagate's myself.

They have treated my notebook well. :)

The Toshiba deal is terrible. The others in this post are 7200RPM drives, while the Toshiba is a 5400RPM one. Also, it only has 3 years warranty as opposed to Seagate's and WD's 5 years (although Hitachi is still lagging with 3 years).

WTH??? How did the price of the drive go down that much and so quickly? I expected them to drop in price over a year.

I'd say SSD prices that could drop down sooner then expected .

Or it could be we are about to get some faster drives that are just around the corner .

Same thing happened with DDR2 sodimm which are dirt cheap now as DDR3 got in .
