The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

I'm not sure if this has been posted anywhere else but here it is anyway:

See- http://www.openoffice.org/index.html for details. I understand it is completely compatible with Microsoft office and totally free! *(there is a link for donations- which I recommend!)

Anywhoo thought I'd give the heads up. Also, anybody with OpenOffice experience please share!

Yea, Open Office has been around and suggested for quite a while, nothing new :)

I recommend it over Microsoft's office, although on older laptops, the RAM usage may be aggrivating :p

I like open office alot. But I need grammer check. Sure grammer check is only half accurate. But I still need it. I wish they're was an alternative to Openoffice with a grammer check as well as spell check. Can someone help grant my wish? =)
