True, only downside is if the game isn't optimized for SLI the 280 GTX will be faster.

Just fyi, i was an owner of the GX2 for 3 months (Since its launch up until the HD4850 launched) I can tell you the drivers for the 9800GX2 are absolute garbage, not to mention the frame rate stutter almost made my games unplayable. Real bad upgrade for me from my old 8800GTS G92, if i didn't only have to pay 240 for the EVGA step-up, i would've kicked myself. lol

I saw the GTX 280 get around double the frames in most games, the 9800 GX2 isn't really worth it now. If NVIDIA released better drivers it would be, but for now it isn't. A GTX 260 is probably a better choice.
